Hi Glennda! Tell us your story! Why did you decide to become a Realtor? What made you want to get into the real estate industry?

My mom initially suggested I get into real estate. I started in September of 1992 and was agent of the month by December. What I love about real estate is the ability to help people achieve the American dream and build generational wealth through real estate.

Typically the purchase of a home has somewhere of emotion and I think women are much better equipped to handle that facet of the transaction.

How do you keep emotions in check and overcome the highs and lows that are inevitable within this business?

I think you have to focus on the long term. The highs and lows are very brief when you think about the long term impact you can have.

What has been the biggest challenge for you within your career and how have you overcome it?

Staying focused… it is easy to become distracted by deals, people, and shiny objects.

What has contributed to your success in this business so far?

Determination, I’ve never really had the luxury to fail. For me, I hit the jackpot with real estate I love it and it is a lifestyle not a job for me.

What’s one thing you wish you could go back and tell yourself on day one as a licensed Realtor?

Buy all of the deals I passed to clients.

You are the Queen of Real Estate on TikTok, what advice do you have for agents who find it difficult to put themselves out there on camera?

Embrace the crazy. Video is the easiest way to expand your digital footprint.

When it comes to social media marketing, what’s the best type of content Realtors should be creating?

Relevant and relatable content.

You’ve become such an influential woman in the real estate industry! What advice would you give to empower other women within their real estate careers?

Don’t be satisfied to stand behind a man. We are not only the backbone to the real estate industry we are the face. Be bold and do not be afraid to double down on yourself!
