An Interview With Top Producing Realtor Anne Marie Authier of Re/Max Chatham-Kent Realty Inc.


Hi Anne Marie! Tell us your story! What inspired you to become a Real Estate agent?


I have always been in sales whether selling a natural product while being a stay at home mother with 3 young children or selling tech products at a Best Buy. My last job was a course I learned to help with a recovery for my child - I turned that into a successful 10 year health business. I have been told in the past that I can do whatever I put my mind to... I felt a shift and started my Real estate journey. I had considered being an agent when my kids were younger but had no opportunity to be away from my young family at the time. I am a people person and pride myself on this ability and it is how I have been successful with Referrals from my past clients and sphere. I tend to remain friends with past clients and it is very satisfying to see how happy they are in their new homes. I can make a huge difference in the lives of people in one of the biggest transactions they make in their lives!



What has been your biggest challenge within your real estate career?


Limiting my potential and wanting to jump into success right away. It takes time - always be open to learn and take courses to improve everyday.

As a woman in this industry, what heightened skills would you say you have to offer your clients?


It is said that we have more patience when dealing with clients. I can empathize with my client and maybe that is a gift. I become friends with many of my clients after the sale. Women have the ability to juggle a million things at a time and we wear many hats in this career.


What has contributed to your success so far?


The support of my husband and family are the key to my success. Understanding that nights and weekends can be involved in this career and supporting me in my growth of continual learning to improve my skills for my clients. I am also starting to see Referrals from my past clients whom I consider great friends after the sale.


How would I describe your life as a Realtor in just one sentence?


Everyday is a new day with new opportunities for business.
